Not feeling like wearing makeup today? Short on time?
Want to look fresh and glowy while sweating at the gym?
Like you’re wearing no makeup at all?
In case you want to create the illusion of not wearing any makeup and still look drop dead gorgeous, you will love the following guide.
We found the 5 products you should use to get the “no makeup” makeup look.
It’s super easy, effortless and yet, will keep you looking gorgeous and natural!
Remember: Though less is more, it doesn’t mean you have to go makeup free for a natural look.
1. Prepare your skin
It’s long known that the perfect canvas to start with is a healthy, hydrated skin. But, since the “no makeup” makeup look is nearly 100% bare, your dermis becomes the star and should be treated correspondently.
Start by perfecting your skin, so that the few makeup you do put on will glide on your skin.
To get a flawless complexion, clean your face from dirt and dead skin cells using a microdermabrasion device, like Glo-me, on a cleansed face as part of your skin care routine.
In less than 7 minutes you will notice a flattering natural glow.
Tip: If you use Glo-me daily you can Stop Right here since your skin is already gorgeous and glowing.
2.BB cream
A short for Beauty balm cream. This simple product can replace 5 others: moisturizer, primer, sunscreen (SPF), skin treatment, concealer, and foundation.
It’s lighter on the skin, making sure you’re getting a more natural look while saving your time.
The advantage of BB cream is that it’s light and thin on the skin, resulting a smooth almost bare complexion that will ensure you won’t feel like you’re wearing too much makeup.
Be sure to apply it evenly with a brush or beauty sponge, to get an even, non-streaky look.
Tip: To get an even, non-streaky look, apply your BB cream evenly with a brush or beauty sponge.
3. Bronzer
To create that sun-kissed look, bronze your face lightly, building it up in sheer layers.
When bronzing, a little goes a long way so make sure you apply your bronzer with a light hand.
Warm your face by applying to the hollows of your cheeks, your temples, beneath your jawline and the sides of your nose.
Remember: we’re going for a natural look so don’t go too heavy with the contouring.
To complete the natural look, use the bronzer as an eyeshadow and apply a thin layer over the entire lid and above your crease.
Tip: use a matte bronzer, which is a shade or two darker than your skin tone. Avoid shimmery products and orange shades which can mess up your natural look.
4. Highlighter
Looking for that extra glow? Then Highlighter is your new best friend.
Whether cream or powder, when applied correctly, you will get that extra radiance by mimicking where the light would naturally fall on your face.
Apply gently with a sponge/brush or with your fingers to the upper parts of your face: your cheekbones, the bridge of your nose, your cupid’s bow, your forehead and your chin.
Use small amount of product and build it up. Make sure you’re adding a subtle layer of highlighter and don’t exaggerate. In this case, less is more.
To look more “awaken” and fresh, apply highlter into the inner corners of the eyes with a small pencil brush.
Tip: if you’re more on the cool undertone scale, use a gold shade highlighter.
If your skin is warmer, use pink shade highlighter.
5. Waterproof black mascara
Defined lashes are essential, even for a no-makeup look. Apply two coats of mascara to your top lashes.
Enhancing your eyes and making them pop is something you don’t want to miss.
This can be achieved by waterproof black mascara, that won’t smudge during the day (gym? Humidity? Whether? ).
Tip: If you’re blond, use brown mascara. If you want to enhance your look even more, use a khol eye liner and create a thin line closest to the lashes and blend to avoid harsh lines.
