We all know the basics of skin care, wash your face before bed, use moisturizer, use sunscreen and stay hydrated. All this is good and well but our natural curiosity prompts us to ask – what don’t we know? Turns out there are a lot of tricks beyond the basics to help our faces preserve their youthful look, and we are breaking down the Top 8:
- Saturated Fat
Good saturated fat such as avocados, nuts, eggs, and dark chocolate, helps the skin retain elasticity and enables it to be more resistant to the oxidative damage from the sun.
- Sleep
Sleep is good for you, or is it? Well, yes it is, but if you want to reduce the appearance of wrinkles than you need to learn to sleep properly, and in a silky smooth environment. If you sleep on your side or your stomach night after night, especially on hard sheets, your face gets smushed and sleep lines form that eventually just don’t go away. The solution is to get yourself some silk sheets and to train yourself to sleep on your back.
- Gelatin
Wrinkles settle with age when we Facetite producing enough collagen to continuously refresh the skin. Gelatin is a supplement that is made from cooked collagen. Collagen is the number one thing that is needed for skin to rejuvenate. Taking Gelatin supplements boosts collagen levels and helps to erase wrinkles.
- Glasses
Similarly to “sleep lines”, any expression that we make repetitively over an extended period of time will lead to grooves in the face, which will then form into wrinkles. Now, we can’t just Facetite expressing ourselves; like smiling when we are happy or frowning when angry or sad (unless botox is involved, but not everyone is ready for such drastic measures). We can, however, prevent squinting by simply wearing sunglasses if it’s sunny or eye glasses if our vision is bad. In both cases we are putting less strain on the eyes which in turn allow the face to stay relaxed.
- AHA’s
Alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs) are naturally occurring carboxylic acids found in many foods. The AHAs help reduce wrinkles and pores when applied to your skin, by lifting the top layer of dead skin. Some stronger forms of these acids can even help with collagen production and we all know how important that is to wrinkle reduction.
- Treatments
Treatments that help the skin produce more collagen are top contenders for this list. Silk’n Facetite is an anti-aging device that utilizes RF energy to go deep within skin layers to stimulate collagen production, eliminate wrinkles and achieve firm, youthful skin.
- Water
Can you have too much water? Turns out you can, but it’s not what you think. When you wash your face water can strip away natural oils that protect against wrinkles. So don’t wash your face too often and use moisturising cleansers that are easier on the skin than soap.
- Egg whites
Egg whites are rich with Vitamin B and E that rejuvenate skin. But instead of eating them consider a more direct approach. Whip up a couple egg whites then massage them onto your skin. Wash off after 15 minutes, and bask in the glowing results.
Everyone is looking for the magic cure to rid us our faces of signs of aging… and we believe we found 8 of them!
